Why Your Water Matters
Water makes up 70% of your body — and 90% of your brain! So which water you put into yourself is bound to have an impact on your overall health.
Garbage in garbage out. And conversely, quality in quality out!
You will quickly notice how drinking better water affects you. Depending on your current health picture, the impact may be subtle or quite dramatic.
What Makes For Good Water?
There are three primary qualities to look for:
1. Purity
Today’s tap water often carries particulates, microbes, heavy metals and other toxins. There are states where the municipal water actually falls below national minimal standards. And to many health experts, those standards aren’t high enough.
When you’re drinking water, that’s what you want in your body — water! Not all the other stuff that’s floating about in it.
To be sure of purity, look for NSF certification. This is the industry standard for filtration quality.
2. Taste
Taste matters more than you might think. It’s a health issue, and here’s why. If you don’t like how your water tastes, you won’t drink much of it. Most of us drink TOO LITTLE WATER. And given the chlorinated, unpleasant taste of most municipal water, that’s no surprise.
So selecting a water system that delivers great taste is actually very important.
3. Energy
You’re not going to find much in the science literature about this aspect. However, if you’ve ever tasted water from a running outdoor spring, you probably noticed how different it is from water that’s been sitting in a tank. The most advanced water systems energize the water by replicating the effects of sunlight, contact with the ground and natural movement.
These effects are achieved by:
- Far infrared infusion
- Magnetizing the water
- Spinning the water before drinking
What About Cost?
With water, as with most things, you tend to get what you pay for. With one exception. Buying bottled water is usually a HUGE waste of money. Bottled water costs on average between $2 and $5 a gallon. And just because water is in a plastic bottle doesn’t mean that it is good! In fact there are NO standards for bottled water except those that apply to tap water. All you can really be sure of is that you’re getting added plastic leached into you water.
Even the best water filtration systems will cost you less than 10% of bottled water, on a daily basis. So swallow hard and make that one-time investment, with a small annual cost of replacing filters. With even the top filtration, you’ll SAVE $$$ on bottled water!
TODAY’S REVIEW
Today we’re looking at the Nikken Pimag Water System.
You can get a countertop system, an under-counter system, a stand-alone filter for the office and even a shower head filter. The system works best when you add the Optimizer, which spins the water to oxygenated it, and passes the water over powerful static magnets.
First of all the system has multiple filters including a primary prefilter, a secondary prefilter and a carbon filter that has been shown to catch particles as small as 0.5 microns (one hundredth the widty of a human hair). The system is certified by the NSF with more than 90% elimination of the most common and harmful ingredients in municipal water, including:
- Volatile organic compounds
- Lead
- Cysts
- MTBE
- Turbidity
- Chlorine
- Bad tastes
- Odors
- Particulate matter
Users report that the water has a smooth, clean and very light taste that really seems to recreate the magic of fresh spring water — especially when it’s been passed through the Optimizer.
